D. J. Dozier

D. J. Dozier was an outfielder for the Mets in 1992. He played in 25 games with the team. Dozier had nine hits and four runs scored as a Met.

A former football player at Penn State University and with the Minnesota Vikings, Dozier signed with the Mets in March of 1990. In '92, he was called up to the major leagues. In his debut on May 6, D. J. scored a run in a 5-3 Mets loss at Cincinnati. He singled for his first major league hit in the Mets' 4-3 win over the Dodgers on May 8 at Shea Stadium. Dozier also had a pair of singles and a run batted in during a 6-0 Mets victory at San Francisco on May 24.

Following the '92 season, Dozier was traded to the San Diego Padres. He never played in the major leagues again.
