Claudio Vargas was a pitcher for the Mets in 2008. He appeared in 11 games with the team. Vargas had three wins and 37 innings pitched as a Met.

In ’08, Vargas joined the Mets for his sixth season in the major leagues. At Colorado on May 24, he pitched seven innings and got the win in a 9-2 Mets victory over the Rockies. Claudio was the winning pitcher in the Mets’ 8-4 triumph over the Dodgers on May 29 at Shea Stadium. He also pitched a scoreless 13th innings for the win in a 5-3 Mets victory over the Diamondbacks on June 11 at Shea.

Vargas split the 2009 season between the Dodgers ans Brewers. He pitched for the Milwaukee team in 2010. Claudio concluded his career with the Rockies’ AAA-level team in Colorado Springs in 2011.
