Chuck Carr

Chuck Carr was an outfielder for the Mets in 1990 and 1991. He played in 16 games with the team. Carr had two singles, one run scored and a run batted in as a Met.

In 1990, Carr made his major league debut on April 28. He struck out in a pinch-hitting appearance in an 8-4 Mets loss at Houston. Chuck singled for his first major league hit and scored a run in the Mets’ 8-2 defeat at Pittsburgh on August 16, 1991. Also in the ’91 season, he drove in the Mets’ only run of a 3-1 loss at Atlanta on August 28.

Carr was traded to the St. Louis Cardinals in December of ’91. He played one season with the Redbirds and the next three years with the Florida Marlins. Carr also spent time with the Milwaukee Brewers and the Houston Astros before ending his career in 1997.
