Raymond Payne "Chip" Ambres (born December 19, 1979) is a free-agent in the Mets organization.

Mets

On December 19,2005 the Mets signed him to a one year deal only for 2007. After the 2007 season he became a free-agent in the Mets minor league system. He is right now playing in the one of the Mets Minor league teams. He was signed again by the Mets on June 10,2009 after getting him from the Boston Red Sox. Chip was sent to Buffalo Bisons.
