Charlie Greene

Charlie Greene was a catcher for the Mets in 1996. He played in two games with the team. Greene had one at bat as a Met.
Greene joined the Mets from their AA-level team in Binghamton in ’96. He made his major league debut in a 3-2 Mets loss to the Braves at Shea Stadium on September 15. Charlie also flied out to center field as a pinch-hitter in a 9-5 Mets defeat to the Phillies at Shea on September 29.
In 1997 and 1998, Greene played for the Baltimore Orioles. He appeared in 32 games with the Milwaukee Brewers in 1999 and three games with the Toronto Blue Jays in 2000. Charlie concluded his career with three more seasons in the minor leagues. He also managed in the Brewers’ system in 2006 and 2007.
