Brook Fordyce

Brook Fordyce was a player for the Mets in 1995. He appeared in four games with the team. Fordyce had a double and a run scored as a Met.
A catcher, Fordyce spent six seasons in the Mets’ minor league system before joining the parent club in ’95. He walked and scored a run in the Mets’ 10-8 win over the Cardinals in the home-opener at Shea Stadium on April 28. Brook also hit a double in a 9-6 Mets loss to the Expos on May 12 at Shea.
Fordyce was claimed on waivers by the Cleveland Indians on May 15, 1995. He completed the season with the Tribe’s AAA-level team in Buffalo. From 1996 to 1998, Brook played for the Cincinnati Reds. He spent the next five years with the Chicago White Sox and Baltimore Orioles. Fordyce concluded his career with the Tampa Bay Devil Rays in 2004.
