Brian Rose

Brian Rose was a pitcher for the Mets in 2001. He made three relief appearances for the team. Rose had four strikeouts in eight and two-thirds innings pitched as a Met.

Rose came to the Mets in a trade with the Rockies prior to the start of the '01 season. At Montreal on April 6, he was tagged with the loss in a 10-6 Mets defeat to the Expos. Brian pitched four scoreless innings in a 7-1 Mets loss to the Expos at Shea Stadium on April 18. He also pitched two innings of the Mets' 9-5 loss at Cincinnati on April 20.

Rose was claimed on waivers by the Devil Rays on April 24, 2001. He pitched in seven games for the Tampa Bay team over the rest of the season. Brian then spent four years in the Royals' and Reds' systems to conclude his career.
