Brian Buchanan

Brian Buchanan was a first baseman for the Mets in 2004. He played in two games with the team. Buchanan was hitless in three at bats as a Met.
Buchanan joined the Mets as a free agent in August of '04. He struck out in the Mets' 10-3 loss to the Padres at Shea Stadium on August 26. Brian also flied out, drew a walk and grounded out in a 10-2 Mets defeat to the Dodgers on August 29 at Shea.
In 2005 and 2006, Buchanan played in the minor leagues and for the St. Paul Saints of the independent American Association. He played for the Fukuoka Softbank Hawks of Japan in 2007. Brian then spent two seasons with the Royals' AAA-level team in Omaha to conclude his career.
