Brian Bohanon

Brian Bohanon was a pitcher for the Mets in 1997 an 1998. He appeared in 44 games with the team. Bohanon had eight wins and 105 strikeouts as a Met.

In '97, Bohanon joined the Mets as a free agent after seven seasons in the American League. He pitched seven innings and got the win in a 4-2 Mets victory at San Francisco in his debut with the team on April 6. Brian pitched seven and two-thirds innings of three-hit ball for the win in the Mets' 6-1 triumph over the Astros on August 8 at Shea Stadium. He had six and one-third innings pitched, two singles and an RBI in getting the win in a 10-2 Mets victory over the Phillies at Shea on September 10. Bohanon also pitched six innings to get the win in the Mets' 7-3 triumph at Florida on September 20.

Bohanon pitched 54 and one-third innings for the Mets in '98. At Shea on May 19, he had a run-scoring single, a double and six innings of three-hit ball to get the win in the Mets' 5-3 victory over the Reds that completed a doubleheader sweep. Brian was also the winning pitcher with four innings of one-hit relief and a single to drive in a run in a 10-6 Mets triumph at Florida on May 26.

On July 10, 1998, Bohanon was traded to the Dodgers. He completed the season with the Los Angeles team and pitched three years with the Rockies. Brian concluded his career with the Reds' AAA-level team in Louisville in 2002.
