Braden Looper
From The Met Wiki
The best season of Braden Looper's career was with the Mets in 2004. He had a career-best 2.70 ERA and career-high in saves with 29.
In his second season with the Mets he blew 6 games, and he only had 28 saves. Mets fans where not happy with Looper in the second season and that is mostly the reason he was not in New York the next season.
Before coming to the Mets Looper played for the Cardinals and Marlins, mostly for the Marlins. He was drafted as the third pick in the first round in the 1996 amateur draft.
After one season with the Cardinals he was traded to the Marlins for Edgar RenterĂa. He won a World Series game for the Marlins, but didn't do much else.
After two season with the Mets Looper went back to the Cardinals, who turned him into a starting pitcher. He then went to the Brewers, for whom he is starting now.
