Bobby Wine

Bobby Wine was a coach for the Mets from 1993 to 1996. He served as the team’s bench coach under manager Dallas Green.
Wine had a 12-season career as a major league infielder. He had 682 hits with the Phillies and Expos. Bobby served on the Phillies coaching staff between 1972 and 1983. The Phils won five division titles, a National League pennant and the 1980 World Series during his time with the club. Wine was also on the coaching staff of the Braves between 1985 and 1990.
After his years with the Mets, Wine joined the Braves as an advance scout. His son, Robbie, became the head baseball coach at Penn State University. Bobby’s grandson, Cory, was selected by the Phillies in the 2009 major league draft.
