Bob Rauch was a pitcher for the Mets in 1972. He recorded 23 strikeouts in 19 games as a reliever. Rauch had a 5.00 earned run average as a Met.

In '72, Rauch made his major league debut with one inning of relief at Philadelphia on June 29. At Montreal three days later, he was tagged with the loss in a 4-3 Mets defeat to the Expos. This was Bob's only decision of his career. On September 10 at Shea Stadium, Rauch struck out Joe Torre to end the Mets' 3-2 win over the Cardinals and earn his only major league save.

Rauch and Brent Strom were traded to the Cleveland Indians for Phil Hennigan on November 27, 1972. Bob pitched three more seasons in the minor leagues to end his career.
