Bob McClure was a pitcher for the Mets in 1988. He made 14 relief appearances for the team. McClure had one win and one save as a Met.

In '88, McClure joined the Mets as a free agent during his fourteenth major league season. At Pittsburgh on August 6, he pitched a perfect seventh inning and got the win in a 5-3 Mets victory over the Pirates. Bob also recorded a save in the Mets' 6-3 win over the Cardinals at Shea Stadium on October 1.

McClure was released by the Mets after the '88 season. He pitched for the Angels and Cardinals between 1989 and 1992. Bob concluded his major league career with the Florida Marlins in 1993.
