Bill Pulsipher was a pitcher for the Mets in 1995, 1998 and 2000. He had a 4.63 earned run average in 34 games with the team. Pulsipher had 5 wins and 101 strikeouts as a Met.
At Binghamton in 1994, Pulsipher pitched a no-hitter in Game 2 of the Eastern League Championship Series. This game propelled the B-Mets to victory in the best-of-five series. In '95, he joined the Mets after starting the season at AAA-level Norfolk. On June 27, Bill recorded his first major league win as the Mets defeated the Marlins, 2-0, at Florida. He pitched seven innings to earn the win in a 13-4 Mets victory over the Rockies at Shea Stadium on July 14. Pulsipher was the winning pitcher with eight shutout innings in the Mets' 1-0 win over the Expos at Shea on August 16. He also got a win in a 7-6 Mets triumph over the Padres on August 26 at Shea.
After missing the 1996 season with an injury, Pulsipher pitched in the minor leagues over the next two seasons. Following his recovery, he appeared in 15 games for the Mets in 1998. On July 31, Bill was dealt to the Milwaukee Brewers for Mike Kinkade. He returned to New York from Milwaukee in a trade for Luis Lopez on January 21, 2000.
Pulsipher made two starts for the Mets in the 2000 season, both of which resulted in losses. He was traded to the Arizona Diamondbacks for Lenny Harris on June 2. In 2001, Bill appeared in 37 games for the Boston Red Sox and Chicago White Sox. He also pitched in 5 games for the St. Louis Cardinals in 2005.
