Bill Monbouquette

Bill Monbouquette was a coach for the Mets in 1982 and 1983. He served as the team's pitching coach under managers George Bamberger and Frank Howard.
Monbouquette had a 11-year career in the major leagues. From 1958 to 1968, he pitched in a total of 343 games with the Red Sox, Tigers, Yankees and Giants. On August 1, 1962, Bill pitched a no-hitter for the Red Sox against the White Sox. He recorded 114 wins and 1122 strikeouts as a major league pitcher.
In 1976, Monbouquette served as manager for the Mets' A-level team in Wausau, Wisconsin.
