Bill Latham

Bill Latham was a pitcher for the Mets in 1985. He made three starts and four relief appearances with the team. Latham had one win and ten strikeouts as a Met.
In his major league debut on April 15, 1985, Latham was tagged with the loss in a 4-1 Mets defeat at Pittsburgh. He pitched seven and one-third innings and had a run-scoring single in getting his first win as the Mets defeated the Astros, 7-3, in the second game of a doubleheader on July 27 at Shea Stadium. Bill was also the losing pitcher for the Mets in a season-closing 2-1 defeat to the Expos at Shea on October 6.
On January 16, 1986, Latham was dealt to the Minnesota Twins in a trade that brought Tim Teufel to the Mets. He appeared in six games for the Twins in the '86 season. Bill pitched in the Mets' minor league system in 1987 and 1988 to conclude his career.
