1970: The Mets pound out 17 hits in a 12-9 victory over the Pirates. The win is the Mets' first ever at Pittsburgh's Three Rivers Stadium.
1980: The Mets defeat the Cardinals, 3-2, at St. Louis. Elliott Maddox singles home the winning run in the ninth inning.
1990: The Mets pound out thirteen hits in the first five innings in an 8-4 win over the Phillies at Shea Stadium.
1991: The Mets defeat the Pirates, 4-3, at Shea Stadium. The win puts the team seven games above the .500 mark. The Mets would lose their next 11 games and end the season in fifth place in the National League East Division.
