1963: Jesse Gonder becomes the first Met ever to have two sacrifice flies in a game in the Mets' 10-7 loss to the Braves in Milwaukee.

1971: Charlie Williams pitches his first major league complete game as the Mets defeat the Reds, 9-4, in Game 2 of a doubleheader at Shea Stadium.

1976: Ed Kranepool hits a two-run homer in the eighth inning to give the Mets a 9-8 win over the Expos at Shea Stadium.

1977: Lee Mazzilli's single in the 14th inning gives the Mets a 4-3 win over the Dodgers at Shea Stadium.

1983: The Mets defeat the Expos, 2-1, at Shea Stadium. Mookie Wilson scores the winning run from second base on a ground out for the second time in three games.

1986: The Mets complete a three-game series sweep with a 4-3 win over the Expos at Shea Stadium. Ray Knight hits a two-run double in the eighth inning and an RBI single in the 10th.

1987: Keith Hernandez homers in the 11th inning to give the Mets a 3-2 win over the Phillies at Shea Stadium.

1994: The Mets score two runs in the bottom of the ninth to defeat the Atlanta Braves, 3-2, at Shea Stadium.

2003: The Mets pound out 19 hits in a 13-5 win over the Cardinals at Shea Stadium. Tony Clark drives in five runs with a double and two homers. Jeremy Griffiths pitches seven innings and records the only win of his major league career.

2004: The Mets hit eight doubles in the last four innings in a 12-3 win over the Brewers at Milwaukee.

2010: Jeff Francoeur hits a home run in the ninth inning to give the Mets a 3-2 win over the Braves in Atlanta.
