1965: The Mets defeat the Astros, 1-0, at Houston. The victory (which halts an 11-game losing streak) is the team's first ever at the Astrodome. Darrell Sutherland pitches four innings of scoreless relief and records his first major league win.
1967: The Mets defeat the Phillies, 8-3, pinning the loss on Larry Jackson after losing to him 18 times.
1968: The Mets defeat the Dodgers, 4-1, at Shea Stadium. Jerry Koosman records his 16th win of the season to tie Tom Seaver's team record from a year earlier.
1979: The Mets defeat the Braves, 18-5, in Atlanta. Nine different Met players get hits in the game. Lee Mazzilli scores five runs.
1993: The Mets defeat the Phillies, 9-5, at Philadelphia. Bobby Jones is the winning pitcher in his major league debut.
1997: Edgardo Alfonzo hits a grand slam in the Mets' 6-2 win over the Cardinals at St. Louis.
1998: In their first game ever in Arizona, the Mets defeat the Diamondbacks, 3-2.
2009: Four Mets pitchers combine for a four-hit shutout in a 3-0 win over the Giants at Citi Field.
