1967: The Mets defeat the Pirates, 3-2, at Shea Stadium. Danny Frisella records his first major league win. Frisella leaves the ballpark before the end of the game to report for weekend military duty.

1987: Terry Leach wins his tenth straight game with a 6-2 victory over the Expos at Shea Stadium.

1988: Kevin McReynolds hits a grand slam in the ninth inning to give the Mets a 9-6 win over the Cubs in Chicago. Gary Carter hits his 300th career home run in the game.

1992: Eric Hillman records his first major league win in the Mets' 2-0 victory over the Pirates at Shea Stadium.

2000: Edgardo Alfonzo and Mike Piazza each hit two-run homers in the Mets' 4-1 win over the Giants at Shea Stadium.
